ADOC 2023 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

Abu Dhabi Oil Co., Ltd. (Japan) (ADOC) is proud to present our 13 Annual Sustainability Report providing an overview of
our sustainability performance during 2023, key initiatives undertaken, and potential areas for future development.
Each year, we strive to expand our disclosure of important sustainability-related information. This annual reporting practice
enables us to review the previous year, enhance our management processes, and direct our future activities to better serve
our employees, stakeholders, the community, and the environment.
REPORTING SCOPE, BOUNDARY, AND METHODOLOGY
The reporting scope and boundary for our disclosures, unless stated otherwise, covers all the ADOC operations in the UAE

during the period of January 1 , 2023, to December 31 , 2023. Where available, 2023 performance has been compared to
the previous years’ data.
The content of the 2023 Sustainability Report was defined after identifying and understanding the relative importance of
specific sustainability topics based on the findings from the materiality assessment process.
Collating and reporting sustainability data requires collaboration across the various departments within ADOC. All data has
been subject to internal validation and data reviews. Furthermore, as ADOC is under the technical supervision of Abu Dhabi
National Oil Company (ADNOC), the collated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) data is submitted to ADNOC on an
annual basis. Going forward, we are committed to seeking external assurance for our subsequent reports.

REPORTING FRAMEWORK
With the aim of providing useful and comprehensive disclosures, this report has been prepared in accordance with the Global
Reporting Initiative (GRI) 2021 Standards as well as the GRI:11 Oil and Gas Sector Standard. We have taken the Sustainability
Accounting Standards Board (SASB) oil and gas exploration and production standard into account when providing disclosures.
The report has also been aligned with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to demonstrate
ADOC’s contribution to the global framework. In addition, the report highlights our alignment with UAE’s sustainability
related policies and strategies.
